urban creatures.
This photo book is about people in the city. The world is a fascinating place, and there’s no better way to explore it than through photography. That’s why this book sets out to capture the beauty of urban creatures in their frantic and busy habitat.
about the book.
Busy, hectic, chatty, friendly, together. Alone together. Urban creatures defy their frantic environment and grant just fractions of glimpses into their humanity. Brief, but profound, views into their concerns, their joys, and their doubts unfold if we are willing to see them. Their stories are told through images of the everyday and (extra)ordinary moments of their lives. The camera is our passport to a hidden world of fascinating creatures that live in the frenetic bustle of the city as we take the time to let unique scenes unfold themselves in front of our eyes.
Street photography is a unique form of introspection that allows us to see the world in a new way. By observing the mundane and everyday scenes unfolding in front of us, we can gain a new perspective on the world around us. We can anticipate the moment, capture the contrast, and appreciate the beauty in the everyday. This book is a collection of my street photography, captured in the city where I live and that I’ve visited. It is a glimpse into the world around me, a collection of moments frozen in time. What starts as a visual discovery of urban creatures becomes an emotional journey about observation, introspection, contrasts, processes, and anticipation.
Photography is an introspective experience. It is a way of looking at the world and really seeing it.

Observation
urban creatures and where to find them.
It hit me by surprise how putting an instrument between myself and the world that surrounds me teaches me to see – to perceive in true depth the scenes around me. The camera teaches us how to see without a camera. Through its viewer, I witness, observe, and catch unique moments that constantly unfold around me. What strikes me as the most powerful capacity for us as photographers is constantly training and using our eyes to see in fresh and curious ways.
To find my urban creatures, I did not have to travel far, always hoping that the exotic, new environment would give rise to outstanding photographs. Whatever we understand by “outstanding,” by the way. Urban creatures are everywhere. Looking for and finding beauty in ordinary places is the creative fuel for my photographic quest.

about the author.
Photography is a form of introspection. It is a way of looking at the world around you and trying to understand what it means. It is a way of seeing the beauty in the mundane and the profundity in the everyday. It is a way of anticipating the moment and capturing the truth that is revealed in it.
I am an amateur photographer who looks for moments of truth in the frantic urban lives of people. I am always on the lookout for images that reflect the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
This is my interpretation of the street photographer’s journey, and I share it with you in the pages of this book.
